Since 2015, with the organization of the Bluegrass Enduro Tour, a four-stage mountain biking Enduro competition held across Europe (Scotland, France, Switzerland, and Sicily), our goal was to establish a remarkable platform for international communication for the brand Bluegrass. The strategically chosen locations for the tour not only provided diverse and challenging terrains for the competition but also served as key destinations to showcase the brand globally. Through this series of events, the brand aimed to engage with the international mountain biking community, demonstrate the performance and reliability of its products, and establish a strong presence in the market.

One lifeRace it blind

The format of the Bluegrass Enduro Tour series followed similar lines to the original motorcycle type enduro. The idea was for the competitor to tackle the course as if they were undertaking a new trail ride for the first time. The event took the form of riding a route interspersed by timed special stages. Timed special stages had a downhill bias incorporating climbs and undulating terrain so good all around ability was required. Special stages could not be pre-ridden.

BLUEGRASS ENDURO TOUR – FRENCH PYRENEES

For the first time in the history of the Bluegrass Enduro Tour, the series was holding a round in the French Pyrenees. This location is a paradise of mountain trails. We experienced a mix of old trails and also new ones, which were more recently built to extend the trail network, and a very high level of racing. Enjoy the video!

It was such a lovely vibe all day, there were no start times, so you could take your time between stages or push on and get around as quickly as you could. There had been no practice, and a number of the stages had been taped down completely virgin terrain so there was no way of people knowing the trail. It was such fun trail riding and it was so good for looking ahead and trying to read the terrain. I got caught out a few times ending up in the tape, but soon got my eye in and reduced my speed a little and loved the feeling of the unknown around every corner! It was such a great day and just showed what you can do when the community and local mountain bike club all get behind and support an event.

As riders arrived one by one it was clear that all were stoked, more like the finish of the mega or an epic alpine stage, I had never seen such excitement, fist bumps and high fives were everywhere! On a damp day in Glencoe, the vision of Bluegrass and trail knowledge of No-Fuss brought something amazing to the calendar, in a year where enduro has raised its game, Bluegrass just lifted the bar.
