As a communication agency for Start Cycling, we secured sponsors, developed and managed the team website, and created compelling photo/video content showcasing the team’s distinctive features. Our mission was to build the image of the Latin American cycling team to make it an appealing option for brands normally attracted by higher profile / budget road cycling teams.
For young Latin American cyclists, the extraordinary opportunity lay in competing against the world’s elite riders through the platform provided by the Start Cycling Team and its European base in Belgium. This experience allowed them to face and learn from the very best in global cycling, elevating their skills and exposure on an international stage.
Our agency significantly boosted the Start Cycling Team’s limited budget by successfully securing sponsorships from prominent brands like Easton, Microshift, Cateye, Adidas Eyewear, Santic, JetBlack, Controltech, Exustar, KPlus, and more. This strategic effort not only enhanced the team’s financial resources but also provided optimal conditions for the development and success of its young athletes.
The website we designed and developed for the team served as the ideal showcase to highlight the team’s activities. Through thoughtful design and functionality, it effectively portrayed the unique aspects of the team, providing a comprehensive and engaging platform for fans, sponsors, and the cycling community to explore the team’s achievements, news, and the individual stories of its athletes.
TOUR OF QINGHAI LAKE
In July 2017 the Start cycling team took part for the first time to the Tour of Qinghai lake, in China, a UCI 2.HC (next category after World Tour) from the 16th to the 29th. With each stage live broadcasted on the Chinese TV channel CCTV 5 and across Asia + countless reports in daily newspapers the Tour de Qinghai lake is the most prestigious cycling race in China and the highest altitude wise in the world. Thirteen stages and 3.353 km across three Chinese provinces, at an average altitude of three thousand meters. A challenge the Start cycling team was looking forward to. Enjoy the video!
